Leg up: The secret to healthy legs is out
Filipinas now have a natural way to prevent many of the commonplace leg problems as Boehringer Ingelheim (Phil.) Inc. brings Antistax®, one of the world’s leading anti-varicose supplements, to the Philippines.
Antistax®, the first and only anti-varicose supplement in the local market, is the perfect synergy of nature and science in leg health management. It is proven safe and effective in helping strengthen and protect women’s legs from the inside out. It also helps restore and regenerate women’s natural mobility by preventing leg vein problems such as pain, heaviness (ngalay), swelling, and varicose veins.

For the first time, two world class brands combine their expertise to create a revolutionary tool: Steampod. Result of a collaborative partnership between L’Oréal Professionnel and Rowenta, Steampod is the first ever hair smoothing iron that delivers a continuous stream of high-pressure steam. Steampod’s flawless technology and associated care products guarantee never-before-seen results that could spark a new hair revolution.
Of course, we did not miss this great opportunity to be one of the few lucky people to first experience this innovation in hair care.

And ta da!

Oh so shiny! According to Zvyka, apart from the shiny, smooth and straight hair, what she loved most about the result was the noticeable less hair fall, which is unusual for newly treated hair. Awesome, right?

Philippine cinemas started screening Les Miserables a week or so ago and with this recent BIG win, it makes people even more excited to watch it in big screen.
This also lead me to come up with an outfit inspired by Cosette, one of the main characters of the novel/movie. Luckily, with kosmos.com.ph fashionable line of clothing and accessories, putting together the outfit ensemble was a bliss.

“Philippine Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013 in cooperation with Cignal Digital TV Broadcast presents Colours Gala: Lesley Mobo.”
___________________________________________________
There couldn’t be a more fitting finale of Philippine Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013 than showcasing the masterpieces of the successful and (obviously) very talented Filipino London-based fashion designer, Lesley Mobo.
An exclusive dinner and charity gala was held at SM Mall of Asia Arena last October 29. The Philippines’ most influential such as Manuel “Manny” Pangilinan, Sharon Cuneta, Gretchen Barretto, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Dr. Vicki Belo, Shalani Soledad-Romulo and many more in the entertainment, fashion and public-service industries were in attendance to witness the majestic flaunt of Mobo’s collection.
Despite the star-studded arena, all eyes were on the models as they glide through the runway strutting Mobo’s delicately crafted pieces. His creations exemplified his excellence in his passion-fashion design.
Here are some photos taken during the event:

What does Pretty Powerful mean?
“Pretty Powerful symbolizes my belief that all women are pretty without makeup – and with the right tools and knowledge can be empowered to another level of pretty –Pretty Powerful. Makeup is a way to empower women with confidence. It’s important for women to find what products bring out their individual beauty and complements their personal style.
In Pretty Powerful, women can easily find themselves within the chapters by exploring the different types of “pretty” that best reflects their personalities, styles and their looks: Pretty Natural, Pretty Radiant, Pretty Radiant, Pretty Strong, Pretty Classic, Pretty Authentic and Pretty Bold. Also, each of the real women featured in the book has their own interesting story that women of all ages and backgrounds can identify with. “

Last October 18, Bobbi Brown’s 7th book, Pretty Powerful : Beauty Stories to Inspire Confidence, was launched in Manila.
“Pretty Powerful is a new kind of makeup guide that starts with who you are, rather than how you look. The book is about conversations and transformations with more than 70 incredible women. It also includes my top makeup tips and tricks and personal stories to help women be their best, most authentic selves. Writing Pretty Powerful was an unforgettable experience. I had the honor of working with an amazing group of women who are full of energy and confidence, and whose celebration of life is truly inspiring. My hope is to help women everywhere understand that being who you are is the secret to lasting beauty — and that all of us can be both pretty and Pretty Powerful. ” - Bobbi Brown

Nowadays, there are countless skin care products available in the market. For every beauty need such as anti-aging, acne treatment, whitening, rejuvenation, etc., there correspond hundreds of brands and products to choose from. It sucks to admit, but the most effective ones are usually pricey.

We try not be be too adventurous when it comes to our skin needs. Harmful substances present in them are to be avoided. Not one of the manufacturers of those products will tell you the possible long-term bad effect/s they can do to your skin. It is a good practice to research about a product before buying it. Reviews by credible people are readily accessible on the internet. But keep in mind that each one of us has different skin type. What works for others might not work for you. So if you have any doubts, consult a dermatologist. As the cliche goes, “It’s better to safe than sorry.”

The Zit Zapper - The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Oil

On the first sign of acne, I always reach for Tea Tree Oil and apply a small amount on where the acne is starting to appear. Give it overnight and *poof*…zit no more! Believe me or not but Tea Tree Oil has saved me many times from that bulging embarrassment during lunch dates, meetings, parties and events where I meet a lot of people. I discovered the wonders of Tea Tree Oil back in 2009 and it has yet to fail me. Studying can be very stressful and not having to worry about getting pimples from sleep deprivation is a big relief.
As of my last visit to The Body Shop, the 10ml bottle costs around 400 PHP. Don’t worry about the price because it lasts a very long time. The bottle is ergonomically designed to regulate the drops so you wont be wasting any of it on spillage. The one I have in the picture is half-full and it has been around since September 2011. See?! Totally worth it!

(Photo : link)
How to use:
1. Cleanse the area of blemish. Use your favorite cleanser to remove any make-up or dirt on it. Dry it up using towel or tissue.
2. Put 1 or 2 drops of Tea Tree Oil on a Q-tip. You can also use your fingertips but make sure that they are clean.
3. Apply directly onto blemish.
4. Let it dry.
TIP : Use it twice a day - in the morning and at night (before you sleep)- for faster results.
Tea Tree Oil can also be used for bathing, facial steaming or inhalation, and massage.
Trust me when I say it works like MAGIC! No wonder it has become one of The Body Shop’s bestsellers. I recommended this to my male friends and they got the same amazing result.
For more details about Tea Tree Oil visit your nearest The Body Shop outlet or visit their website at http://www.thebodyshop.ph.
And guess what? The Body Shop has an ongoing pre-holiday sale. Get up to 70% off on selected items!

[ +1 on CHICTOPIA] ♥ [HYPE on LOOKBOOK.nu]
Of all the photos we took for this outfit post, we think we both looked best strutting a crossover pose. If you have noticed, on almost all of our outfit posts, there’s always one of us (if not both of us) on this stance. Seems like we need to learn more poses eh?
Moving on, this is how we looked during the Grand Opening of Lay Bare, Robinsons Magnolia. We urged for a chic but comfortable outfit.

RnP Accessories necklace

Call It Spring bag

unbranded floral top and (bazaar) colored trousers

CK bag, SM GTW shirt and irregular pleated skirt

Florals and vibrant clothes can give a person a fun and youthful aura.

Be careful of pleated clothes. They can either flatter your figure or enhance your less desirable areas.

Sole Sister ballerina flats

Charles & Keith heels
